Meet Our Team
Charles Stock - President
Charlie is a senior studying Management Consulting and Constitutional Studies. He enjoys playing Hold’em and watching the Cowboys LOSE TO THE PACKERS during practice (in case you can’t tell, he’s from Dallas). Fingers crossed he doesn’t get kicked off the team for sneaking into tab again.
Theodora Ciobanu - VP of Administration
Theodora is a senior Economics and Applied Math major from Golden, Colorado. When she’s not debating 403’s plentiful merits, she’s reminiscing about the time she’s spent with her teammates, both in and out of the courtroom. She’s met her favorite people doing mock trial, and hopes you’ll all feel the same. More importantly, ask her if she studied abroad. I dare you.
Isabella Leak - VP of Travel
Isabella is a junior Political Science & FTT major from the Philippines New Jowsey. She is currently working as a marketing employee for the Alumni Association and is involved in research at the Technology Ethics lab. If you ever needed someone to parallel park, she’s your woman.
Patrick Buck - Treasurer
Patrick is a senior studying Finance and Economics. He is involved with the Hall Presidents Council and the Center for Social Concerns. In his free time he enjoys checking his new LinkedIn connections, scheming with Chris Barile, and telling people why we can’t just print more money (we totally can).
Eric Derr - Secretary
Eric is a sophomore currently double-majoring in PLS (Program of Liberal Studies) and Chinese, with a French minor. In his downtime he enjoys watching art restoration videos, and reading! He works for ND Studios and Fighting Irish Media where he serves as a Student Manager.
Roy Bualuan - Tournament Director
Roy is a senior majoring in Physics and minoring in Linguistics, Middle Eastern Studies, and Influencing. He's from South Bend, IN, and when he’s not sending a plethora of emails, he’s busy micromanaging the BuaHive. Other hobbies include asking people if they know who he is. Meet his dad in DeBart for high class salsa lessons!
Chris Barile
Chris is a senior (sad) studying Biochemistry and Theology. Hailing from New Jersey, and the star of Bergen’s Best Soccer Camp, he brings some chaos to his character witness in the courtroom. When he’s not in mock trial, he’s busy in his quest for the ultimate sweet treat or having way too in depth conversations with his roommates.
Ella Cain
Ella is a senior majoring in American Studies and minoring in German and Constitutional Studies. She is from Edina, Minnesota, and dreams about the Minnesota State Fair every year (shoutout Sweet Martha’s!). When she's not doing mock trial, she's talking to someone about mock trial - roll Chuggie’s!
MacKenzie Stewart
MacKenzie is a senior from “Chicago” studying Political Science and Neuroscience. She’s probably in her bed hugging a Squishmallow and listening to Noah Kahan (in case you couldn’t tell). Please ask MacKenzie about her remarkable, phenomenal, brilliant, ineffably joyous wonder of a roommate or Monday Night Trivia.
Maddie Schlehuber
Maddie is a senior studying American Studies with minors in Business Economics and Constitutional Studies. She is from Sunfish Lake, Minnesota, which qualifies her to drive the team to all of our cold-weather tournaments. When not at mock trial, she likes to socialize on Thursday nights or jog around the lakes.
James Loudenslager
James is a sophomore from Columbia, Missouri. He’s studying Political Science, living in Knott Hall. When he’s not working at LaFun, (say hi to him whenever he loves to be disturbed) James can be found reading, perfecting his French accent, or buying 25 cent Kool-Aid.
Nolan Reddy
Nolan is a sophomore finance and accounting double major from the suburbs of Philadelphia. You can find Nolan complaining about the 76ers, drinking milk, or delivering his closing argument to a wall. If you need directions to someplace on campus, Nolan is not your guy.
Julia Jacobson
Julia Jacobson is a junior studying Political Science, with minors in Journalism and Accounting. She’s from Minnesota, but on campus calls Welsh Fam her home! Outside of mock trial, she works as a TA and student assistant. In her free time, she love to read and bake.
Allison Willner
Allison is a sophomore History major from Colorado (best state and that’s not really a debate). Beyond mock trial, she loves singing, slaying, and spending time with friends. Right now, she’s abroad, changing the course of public policy as we know it.
Tiara Takyi
Tiara is a sophomore from Columbus, Ohio (she’s in a better place now). She is a Management Consulting and Marketing double major, and she’s currently interning for the Mayor. GO IRISH!
Avery Gahler
Avery is a sophomore English and Economics major from St. Paul, Minnesota, but calls Badin Hall home. She is a writer for Strike Magazine, a student Senator, and works in the Law School. In her free time, Avery can be found listening to T-Swift, drinking Diet Coke, and doing the Mini.
Haley Garecht
Haley Garecht is a sophomore studying Political Science living in PE. She is from just outside of Philadelphia, (go birds!), and is involved in BridgeND, Domers Mentoring Kids & ACFI. Haley can be found playing guitar, facetiming her dog, Kody, and buying iced chai lattes at ABP.
Anna Stachniak
Anna is a sophomore studying political science in the Glonors program. When she’s not improving her British accent (her life’s work) or chilling on the quad, she’s brightening up the third floor of Zahm - roll Zeeps!
Eva Hu
Eva is a freshman from Shanghai, China. She is now majoring in Philosophy with a minor in the Glynn Family Honors Program. She is passionate about Bioethics research, even though the first class she dropped in high shool is Biology!
Hayden Strong
Hayden is a senior from Philadelphia studying Architecture. He has visited 39 countries (and counting!) and is also Vice President of Jam ND, a music club. You can find Hayden at Acousticafe or sleeping in Walsh Hall of Architecture.
Victor A.T. Kaminski
Victor is a freshman majoring in Finance and Political Science from Omaha, NE. Outside of Mock Trial, he faces controversy for his support of both the UNL Huskers and Kansas City Chiefs (he loves Taylor’s boyfriend), as well as his predilection towards royalty-themed photoshoots.
Maya Tuviera
Maya is a freshman from Manila, Philippines studying Economics and Political Science with a minor in the Glynn Honors program. Maya spends her time longing for home-style Asian food and scouring South Bend for the next best alternative (search status? unfruitful). Recs welcome.
Megan Toussaint
Megan is a freshman History and Theology double major. She is from Houston, Texas but currently lives in Cavanaugh Hall (roll chaos!). She is a Peer Advocate and involved with Camp Kesem, and you can probably find her runningitup! in her free time.
Claire Capdeveille
Claire is a freshman Film, Television and Theatre major. She has spent almost her whole life in South Bend, and decided to doom herself to the overcast sky for another four years! In her free time she loves spending her life savings on arcade games with her little sister and playing with her dog.
John Vranas
John is a freshman studying Political Science in the Glonors program. He's from the suburbs of Chicago, where his lawyer parents trained him to give closing statements daily at the dinner table. When he's not crying about the pathetic Chicago Bears, he’s arguing theology in Baumer.
Seamus McGinty
Seamus McRascal McGinty is a Freshman studying finance from Cleveland, OH. Currently, he's a part of SIBC and Corporate Finance club and enjoys watching the Browns desperate and fruitless journey towards a SuperBowl. He can also probably kick higher than you.
